Cotswold Retro Ride

Thank You!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported and took part in the first-ever Cotswolds Retro Ride — what an incredible weekend it was! From the stunning scenery to the amazing vintage bikes and community spirit, we couldn’t have asked for a better debut event.

Your enthusiasm and support helped make it a real success, and we’re already looking forward to bringing it back next year — even bigger and better!

Stay tuned for updates, and we can’t wait to ride with you again in 2026.

Route

Starting and finishing at Prescott Hill Climb Bugatti Owners Club, the route uses a network of mostly minor roads capturing the true Cotswold experience.

The lap includes a loop around Bredon Hill with the remains of the Iron Age fort looking down on you all the way.  As you head out into the rolling lanes you will pedal through Cotswold villages with Severn Vale views.

Cotswolds Cycles are hosting a refreshment break in the village of Elmley Castle, after which you will continue on quiet roads back towards the Cotswolds escarpment before heading into Winchcombe.  The final leg is out to Gretton and the return to Prescott.

The roads are most rolling with a couple of sweeping descents, the villages are mostly Cotswold stone buildings with many signs of their history.  From water springs to churches and the remains of old shops, there is much to look out for as you follow the route.

The entire route will be signposted with CotswoldsRetroRide arrows.  The route has two crossings of the A46 which will be well marshalled to aid you as you cross.  We also have a mechanic supplied by Cotswolds Cycles and a broom wagon.

The villages we travel through: Dixton > Alderton > Beckford > Conderton > Overbury > Kemerton > Great Comberton > little Comberton > Elmley Castle > Childswickham > Aston Somerville > Wormington > Stanton > Stanway > Didbrook > Winchcombe > Gretton > Prescott.

We hope you have a great pedal.

Prescott

We are so pleased and privileged to be working closely with the prestigious Prescott Hill Climb venue. Nestled deep into the Cotswold Hills you will enjoy a beautiful backdrop of this amazing location. We have partnered with them before and run several events raising money for our charity. The Club House is open on Sunday for food and refreshments. Not forgetting free camping is available at the venue.
